On a trip to Holeb, Maine for a quick weekend gettaway. 5 of us packed into a Chevy 3500 ready for adventure. The camp was completely off the grid, no cell service, land line or running water. Just a wood stove and a small generator. The nearest town was a 50 minute ride down a dirt logging road to the small town of Jackman. It was the perfect getaway being only 10 miles south of the Canadian boarder. Just fishing, exploring and good times. I can’t say enough how refreshing it was get away from the craziness of life and slow down. That’s when I got this photo on Holeb Pond. I am fortunate enough to say that this was published in Maine The Way’s photo book Issue: 08 Forests.
